Logan Paul made his much-hyped pro wrestling debut on the night one of WrestleMania 38. The YouTuber-turned-boxer-turned pro wrestler tagged with The Miz against the Mysterios (Dominik and Rey). It seems that Logan was initially planned to make a babyface at WrestleMania.

Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE made a promise to Logan Paul ahead of WrestleMania. A deal was negotiated where they promised to make Logan a babyface. The Miz was therefore scripted to betray Logan as they wanted Logan to be a babyface from the first match itself.

So you know why they did the Logan Paul and Miz thing that we couldn’t understand? Because when they made the deal Logan Paul to do this angle part of the deal with Logan Paul is that when you’re done with this angle you’re gonna be a babyface. That was negotiated into the deal… I guess that’s why he was a babyface the first time too [until he turned heel].

The Maverick impressed the crowd with his abilities as he nailed the three amigos, a move set popularized by the late great Eddie Guerrero and a frog splash off the top rope. In the end, it was The Miz who got the victory for his team and betrayed Logan with his signature Skull Crushing Finale.
