It’s the RAW after WrestleMania, and that brings a lot of hype and expectations. Roman Reigns prevailed over Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania and became the Undisputed WWE Champion. Reigns will appear on tonight’s RAW to address the WWE Universe and we’re curious to see what direction he’ll be heading now that’s he slain The Beast. We just hope the rumours of an injury last night are untrue or exaggerated.

Cody Rhodes made his return to WWE on Night 1 of WrestleMania, and what a moment it was. Following his incredible entrance, Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins in one of the best matches of the weekend. So where does Cody go from here? The wrestling world will be eagerly awaiting his debut tonight. Beyond that, we only know that Veer will finally make his return to RAW, but we expect to see RK-Bro, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bianca Belair, and more.

And that’s the preview for tonight’s RAW. Our live coverage will begin from 8PM right here. Let us know if you’re excited about any of it and remember to hit the refresh link below and enjoy the show!

RAW

Monday Night RAW opens with a lenghty highlight reel of WrestleMania Saturday & Sunday, which saw Stone Cold Steve Austin beat Kevin Owens in his first match in nineteen years, RK-Bro retain the RAW Tag Team Titles, Bianca Belair beat Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship, Pat McAfee pin Austin Theory… only to lose to Vince McMahon a few minutes later, and Roman Reigns slay Brock Lesnar to become the Unified WWE Champion.

We go live to the arena in Dallas and out comes none other than Cody Rhodes, who defeated Seth Rollins on Saturday night. The fans chant his name, then “welcome back”. Cody says “soooo what do you guys want to talk about?” He says it’s been forty longs days since he became a free agent. He’s heard lots of rumours and news headlines that were pure nonsense. And everyone thinks the decision for him to return was a difficult one but it was not, it was very simple.

He was the star that left them in the dust. And now he’s signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal to return. Of course he had some doubts, but the moment he rose up on that stage and saw 75,000 people, any doubt he had was eradicated. He reiterates a quote: a man often finds his destiny on the path he took to avoid it. He points to the screen where we see an image of Dusty Rhodes in Madison Square Garden in 1977. Cody says it’s simply to say that’s his father, he was the son of a plumber, the common man, but to him he was a hero.

Cody gets choked up. He continues that this photo shows him holding the very title belt that Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H all got their hands on eventually. That photo was on the mantle in his parents bedroom until his father’s last day. And he remembers he once asked his father, “I didn’t know you were a Champion like Hulk Hogan.” Dusty looked at him and said he won the match by count-out but they took the title from him because of Champion’s advantage.

Cody knew at that moment that he needed to win that very title belt. He wanted to win it more than anything so he could put it in Dusty’s hands and tell him it’s his and nobody can take it away. Unfortunately that opportunity passed, died right in front of him. Or did it? He cannot physically put the title belt into the hands of the American Dream but he can certainly put it around the waist of the American Nightmare. He stands before us ready. He’s going to do it. He’s going to get the distinction his family has long deserved and he’s doing it for the fans, himself, his family, and the American Dream.

Seth Rollins comes to the ring and the fans sing along to his music as he dances around Cody in a dazzling pink suit. They stare at each other and Rhodes tosses the microhone away, then offers a handshake. Rollins shakes the hand and laughs, then leaves.

Kevin Owens is in the ring and he says “I may have made a mistake.” He says he brought Steve Austin onto his show and tricked him into a match on Saturday night and he may have underestimated the Texas Rattlesnake because he’s still very good. He had to be in order to beat one of the greatest Superstars of all-time, which is what he is. And the fact of the matter is, he went into the match on Saturday night with a back injury.

Owens says we might not have seen it on his face because he’s incredibly tough and didn’t show it, but he hurt his back in the gym lifting massive amounts of weight. So considering he was injured, his loss to Stone Cold should be stricken from the record. As far as he’s concerned, he never lost. Suddenly, Elias walks out but he’s now called Ezekiel and he’s clean shaven and wearing wrestling gear. Virtually unrecognisable. Owens stares at him and says “Elias?” He asks him where the Hell he’s been and how dare he interrupt him.

Ezekiel says he’s not Elias. The fans chant “yes you are”. He’s Elias’s younger brother, Ezekiel. Owens alls BS and says he recongises his eyes. Ezekiel is sticking to his story. Owens says he got beer in his eyes and ears the other night but he knows it’s Elias, and he hates liars. Ezekliel says Owens must hate himself because he lied on Saturday night, and he got Stunned. Owens says he never liked Ezekiel but he likes him a lot less now. He says he has ten seconds to get out of his ring or he’ll beat the Hell out of him. Owens and the fans count down but Ezekiel doesn’t move, so KO leaves.

Veer drops Dominik, then Rey tries to fight him but gets his head took off with a clothesline. Veer sidewalk slams Rey, then applies a submission on Dominik until he passes out.

The new RAW Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair comes to the ring. Sporting a massive black eye, Belair says she thanks Becky for that because, just like her loss at SummerSlam, without it she would never have known how much better she could be. And she learned that everything can be taken away in a second. She didn’t cheat or injure her opponent, she went through Hell and back to be here.

Becky tried to take everything from her, she came for her hair, her throat, and her eye. But even with one eye she took everything Lynch had and came out on top. And she did it because we deserve better than Lynch. Belair, says she knows what it feels like to lose the title, so she is ready and willing to fight every woman in the back. No woman is prepared to do what she is to hold onto that title. She is different, she is better, and she is the Est. of WWE.

For too long Damian Priest has fought his inner self. Tried to downplay his real personality to appeal to the sheep. The fans chant “we are sheep” and Edge calls them idiots. He then tells the fans to rise for the man who respects his message, the man who will be the punishment for the guilty.

In the weeks leading into WrestleMania, he was lost. The fans chant “we don’t care”. Priest says there was a time when that would have bothered him and Edge says “not anymore losers”. Priest says everything changed when he heard Edge’s message. It gave him direction.

Priest knows Edge was speaking to AJ Styles but it felt like he was speaking to him, and that’s why it was easy to pledge his loyalty to Edge. Edge says it was the best decision Priest ever made. And it’s funny because the night he decided to change, is the night Priest did as well. They passed judgement on Styles and they will do the same to anyone that gets in their way. AJ gave him the pitbull but the problem is, all pitbulls know is to fight. And Styles should really learn flight over fight.
