JONAH was on the verge of becoming a top guy in Triple H’s NXT. At least, that’s what he was told during his time on the black and gold brand. Unfortunately, WWE had no plans and place for the big man on NXT 2.0 and he was let go from his contract in August 2021.

The former Bronson Reed is looking to claim the spot he says he was promised not too long ago. JONAH is currently signed to IMPACT Wrestling. He’s also made appearances for NJPW Strong. The former NXT North American Champion wants to be the top dog wherever he goes.

“Very top, world champion. That’s where I’ve always wanted to be and that’s where I still have my goals set. I set goals as they go and build my way up and as for that company that shall not be named, I was destined to become the top guy in the black and gold brand.

“That’s what was supposed to happen. That’s what was promised. But as we all know, promises don’t get kept a lot in professional wrestling. So now it’s all on my own shoulders and I have to make sure I live up to that hype.”

Elsewhere during the interview, JONAH revealed WWE nixed plans for him to pay tribute to the late great Vader at Halloween Havoc event. The former NXT star said he had even got the actual Vader mask from the soon-to-be Hall of Famer‘s son, but the WWE cancelled those plans.
