Gable Steveson signed with WWE last year. The company went to great lengths in getting the 21-year-old to sign contract. It was also reported that WWE offered Steveson a unique contract, which is exclusive in nature.

The 2020 Summer Olympic Games gold medal winner has admitted on more than one occasion that he took Brock Lesnar’s journey into the WWE as an inspiration when signing with the company.

The University of Minnesota powerhouse recently had an interesting response to a question regarding Lesnar. WWE asked fans who they thought was the WWE Champion’s dream opponent.

Gable tagged himself in one of the replies. The two have crossed paths but not in the ring. Lesnar also gave the young wrestler once-in-a-lifetime advice during his freshman year in college.

A match between the two certainly sounds interesting, given their amateur wrestling background and the fact that both attended the University of Minnesota during their college years.

WWE reportedly plans on fast-tracking Steveson to the main roster and then booking him like Lesnar, who had a huge first year with the company. At just 25, Lesnar defeated The Rock to win his first WWE Championship.
