WWE just lost Big E to broken neck and we’re uncertain when he will return. All we know is that his neck is broken and it won’t require surgery. Word is he might never wrestle again. On the other hand, we have much better news to report when it comes to Xavier Woods’ injury status.

Xavier Woods returned to the ring at a WWE SmackDown house show event in Jackson, Mississippi. He teamed up with Kofi Kingston in a losing effort against Sheamus & Ridge Holland and the Usos.

This was his first match back since the January 7th episode of SmackDown where The Usos defeated Woods and Kingston to retain the blue brand’s tag team titles in a street fight. Woods was recovering from a plantaris muscle injury in his calf since then.

We’ll have to see what WWE does with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston on the road to WrestleMania, but odds are Big E will not be in the picture. At least Xavier Woods was able to return in time.

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch returned to action during WWE’s other house show in Columbus, Georgia.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
