Jade Cargill has consolidated her position as an impressive force in AEW’s Women’s Division. She has run roughshod over her competition and impressed everyone with her strength and in-ring skills. Cargill does not seem impressed with the competition she has received so far. She sent out an open challenge on Twitter for her TBS Championship asking someone to step up. It seems that didn’t take long to find an opponent.

Cargill took to Twitter asking someone to step up and accept her challenge for the TBS Championship. She found a response to her challenge in Athena, formerly known as Ember Moon in WWE.

While replying to Cargill’s tweet, Athena responded with a ‘hmmm.’ Starting the verbal confrontation between the two, Cargill then asked Athena to say what she felt. In response to this, Athena wrote the following.

“Sure .@Jade_Cargill I’ll give in to your request and ill say loud enough for the people in the back…even though I’m pretty sure I know the answer. GIVE ME A MATCH SO I CAN TAKE YOUR TITLE! Talk to ya boy and make it happen… I’ll be waiting”

The response sparked a series of back and forth Tweets between the two, exchanging insults, barbs, GIFs, and emojis. The discussion centered around Athena getting an opportunity at Cargill’s AEW TBS Championship, which she won in January and successfully defended at AEW Revolution.

WWE signed Athena back in 2015, where she got a chance to compete in NXT and the main roster under the ring name Ember Moon. During her time with the company, she won the NXT Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship. She was released by WWE in November 2021.
