Cody Rhodes’ future in the wrestling world is still up in the air. The former All Elite Wrestling star and his wife Brandi Rhodes said goodbye to the Jacksonville-based promotion last month.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Cody Rhodes hasn’t come up in WWE’s creative team, but he was on the board for WrestleMania for a time. He has yet to sign anything, but all that can change if they can finalize a deal.

According to Fightful Select, one person in AEW last week believed Cody was WWE bound and booked to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38 next month in Dallas, Texas.

“At least one EVP in All Elite Wrestling as of last weekend fully believed that Cody Rhodes was signed or was signing with WWE and would face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. Again, we haven’t confirmed that as of yet.”

The outlet also confirmed that WWE officials haven’t been briefed on the situation involving Cody Rhodes and the company. It is unknown if the former TNT Champion signed a deal with the multi-billion dollar conglomerate.
