Adam Cole has certainly seen a lot of success during his 4-year run on NXT and many fans would agree with that notion. He helped elevate the black and gold brand to the next level and had some of the best matches in recent memory as well. It seems Eric Bischoff doesn’t think Cole should be the AEW World Champion just yet.

Since his debut in AEW back at AEW All Out last year, Adam Cole has largely been involved with The Young Bucks and competed in mid-level matches. He is currently engaged in a feud with Adam Page for the AEW World Championship as fans were glad to see him in the main event title picture.

While speaking on his 83 weeks podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff talked about Adam Cole’s upcoming title match against Adam Page. Bischoff stated that he feels it isn’t the right time for Adam Cole to become the AEW World Champion.

“Even though you have a percentage of the audience that’s going ‘yay Adam,’ two months from now, they’ll be going ‘give us somebody else.’ That’s the appetite of the hardcore audience. If I’m him, I don’t want that title right now.

We will have to wait and see whether Adam Cole will be able to defeat Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution on March 6th or not.
