Hikaru Shida is one of the mainstays of the women’s division in AEW and one of the most talented female pro wrestlers in the world right now. She was the AEW Women’s Champion for well over a year after winning the title from Nyla Rose at Double or Nothing 2020.

Hikaru Shida lost the AEW Women’s World Championship to Britt Baker at Double Or Nothing last year. Since then she has largely not been part of the main event scene for the women’s division.

Shida also previously stated that she was struggling to survive in AEW. On this week’s episode of AEW Rampage, Serena Deeb held another one of her 5-minute challenges, which she won without much effort.

However, Hikaru Shida would then make her shocking return on the show and immediately went after Serena Deeb, who had injured Shida with a kendo stick back in January. Shida got quite a few kendo shots of her own before Deeb managed to flee.

Hikaru Shida and Serena Deeb have been engaged in a longstanding feud over the past few months and now it seems the two are set to face off against each other at least one more time. We will have to wait and see who will end up winning this time around.
