WWE recently announced a huge extension of their content deal with A&E. The cable network will get more than 130 hours of new WWE content as part of the agreement. WWE: Most Wanted Treasures was one of the shows that got picked up.

AJ “Top Dolla” Francis was the host of the first season of the show. The WWE Universe was wondering how that might work as Francis was released by WWE along with the rest of Hit Row. Francis may be able to continue, as he originally signed for multiple years.

Francis participated in a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest recently. During the event, AJ said that he was signed for multiple seasons of Most Wanted Treasures. The deal is separate from his wrestling deal and was signed with WWE Studios. Francis isn’t sure what that means just yet.

“If they [WWE] called me back and said, ‘Hey –’ I’m signed for multiple seasons [of WWE and A&E’s ‘Most Wanted Treasures’].

No, it’s through WWE Studios [his contract]. It’s a completely different contract than my WWE contract so, I’m signed to do multiple seasons, right? But, contracts ain’t worth the piece of paper that they are wrote on. So, I could be back. When I did the show last time, we started filming in July. I found out that I got in the gig in May. So, it was that quick of a turnaround. I was the last person to be added to the show. So like, that could happen again, or I could never hear from them and fade off into the distance and they do it with somebody else.”

If WWE wants to bring AJ Francis back to host the show, they have that option. The deal was completely different from the one he signed to appear on WWE wrestling-related programming. Time will tell if they decide to keep Top Dolla around.
