AEW Revolution is going down on March 6th and Tony Khan’s company has a loaded card, one of the best in company history. They could also debut a new face at the event.

Cesaro recently allowed his WWE contract to expire without re-signing. That means he is currently a free agent. Since he fulfilled his contract, there are no non-compete clauses to worry about. Claudio Castagnoli could show up anywhere at any time.

There has been speculation that Castagnoli could wind up in AEW. Claudio is friendly with a lot of the talent there and is one of the world’s best technical wrestling talents. There is nothing stopping Tony Khan from bringing him in if Castagnoli wants to work with AEW.

Dave Meltzer discussed the possibility of surprises at the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio. With Tony Khan’s purchase of Ring of Honor, several possibilities exist. Jeff Hardy is still under a non-compete clause until March 9, so he is out. Claudio Castagnoli is a definite possibility.

“Obviously, All Out was the better show because of the big debuts. There’s no promises of any big debuts. They can’t do Jeff Hardy legally. I mean, Claudio could walk in on the show, if they want to. If they want to do something. He does like to do stuff like that.”

Tony Khan has not promised any major debuts for Revolution just yet. The debuts at All Out were well known, but no announcement was made in advance. That show brought us Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole. Revolution might have some surprises for AEW fans.

We will have to wait and see if Tony Khan wants to promote any more major announcements. There have been several in recent weeks and Khan should be aware of fan fatigue. With that said, there are plenty of opportunities for total surprises. A stacked card and an air of unpredictability have made AEW Revolution a must-watch.
