Brock Lesnar made his triumphant return during the SummerSlam pay-per-view after a hiatus of over one year. For the most part, Lesnar has been feuding with Roman Reigns since his return. It seems WWE already has big plans after the title unification at WrestleMania 38.

Roman Reigns successfully defended his WWE Universal Championship against Goldberg at WWE Elimination Chamber. Brock Lensar also won the WWE Title at the same event.

After that, it was confirmed that the two will duke it out in a champion vs champion winner takes all title unification match at WrestleMania 38 on Night Two of the event.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, it was said that the brand split will not be ending nor will there only be one champion in the company. After WrestleMania 38, there will still be two champions, one for each brand.

“The deal here is that it is a unification match and from what I am told, it’s the same idea as the last time they unified the titles. Remember like 2o years ago, 18 years ago when they did, and then like a week later they just handed a belt to Triple H?

I was told that it is not feasible in the modern environment to not have each brand, given the two networks, have a champion. So this will be a unification match, and then they will, not forget about it, but there will be two champions.”

It remains to be seen whether Brock Lesnar will end up becoming both the WWE and Universal Champion at WrestleMania 38 or if it will be The Tribal Chief. Either way, there will be two champions so many fans will feel the entire title unification thing was unnecessary.
