As the AEW brand successfully continues to expand the company sees itself debuting in more and more areas across the country. The company recently announced that they will be debuting in Detroit, Michigan in late June.

The official AEW Live Events account announced on Twitter the company will be debuting a live episode of Dynamite and a Rampage taping. Attached to the tweet was a poster that featured several AEW superstars.

Cody Rhodes liked the said tweet and quote tweeted it by writing a credit to his wife Brandi Rhodes for making this possible.

“Very cool to see! BIG props to @TheBrandiRhodes / @rmorfnyc for making Detroit finally happen. Cody wrote on his twitter.”

Cody didn’t just give the former AEW Chief Branding Officer Brandi Rhodes “Big props” but also to AEW Live Events & Touring Director Rafael Morffi. Morffi has spent close to 12 years with WWE and 5 years with TNA/Impact before he joined AEW in June 2019.

Brandi responded to Cody and thanked Kulture City for assisting her and Morffi start the conversations in Detroit. Detroit also happens to be a hometown of Brandi Rhodes. She also expressed her desires to be possibly wrestling in Detroit at some point in her future.

What a birthday treat it would have been! I’ve never wrestled in my home town. Last time with ROH my collarbone was broken. Perhaps it’s still in my future 🤔

Detroit Fam…thank my fellow board members at @kulturec for helping me and Raf start the convos. Raf brought it home!

Brandi wrote on her Twitter

In a follow-up tweet Brandi expressed her gratitude for having husband like Cody who acknowledges her accomplishments.

“Also…it’s nice to have a spouse that recognizes your work and accomplishments.”

Cody Rhodes is widely rumored to join WWE after Rhodes parted his ways with AEW alongside his wife earlier in February. However Brandi is not expected to join Cody there.

We will have to see what Cody Rhodes does next, but he’s obviously still playing nice with AEW.
