Jaxson Ryker survived scandal after scandal before finally receiving his release from WWE in November of last year. Ryker was even criticized by his own coworkers for supporting then-president Donald Trump. Accusations of racism followed in short order. Ryker lasted through several rounds of mass firings at WWE before finally being let go.

Before he was Jaxson Ryker, Chad Lail was known as Gunner in TNA. During that time, he became the promotion’s television champion as well as winning one half of the tag titles. Ryker announced in a series of social media posts that he was once again reclaiming the moniker.

The former WWE superstar’s 90-day non-complete clause has now expired. Gunner is officially a free agent. The controversial wrestler announced via an Instagram video that he was making the switch.

Gunner spent five years with TNA between 2010 and 2015 before joining WWE in 2017. Jaxson Ryker was unable to capture any championship gold during his sting. Gunner is hoping to avoid that same fate at his next destination.

We will see how many promoters have interest in the former Jaxson Ryker. Any signing will surely be met with skepticism from fans. Gunner is hoping to re-establish himself and stay true to what he believes in no matter where he ends up.
