Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes are officially gone from All Elite Wrestling. The couple had been with the company since it was founded, and each served in off-camera roles in addition to their duties as wrestlers. Fans were shocked to discover the news.

One thing that many have wondered about is what will happen to Rhodes to the Top. The reality show gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at AEW through the lenes of Cody and Brandi. They just recently signed on for second season of the series.

Andrew Zarian of F4W Online discussed the complex situation. AEW has their hands in the Rhodes to the Top pie. Things could get messy as WarnerMedia figures out what to do about the second season of the reality series.

“Cody has gone down this outside wrestling path before. I believe when he first initially left WWE, there was a point that he was considering just wrestling every now and then and really taking off his acting career. I think with AEW having that relationship with WarnerMedia, it was a great position for him to have the reality show and be on other shows. But, do you know who else could that? WWE could do that with him, with Peacock. They would love the idea of having another Miz and Mrs. style show on their brand.

I think if that’s the case, and I don’t know if he’s filmed already, this season of Rhodes to the Top, or what’s going on with that, but he is in bed with Turner. So, I don’t know. This adds another layer of complication.”

The Rhodes to the Top angle is one of the most interesting stories to keep an eye on in the fallout of Cody and Brandi’s departure. AEW has a conundrum on their hands that will have to be addressed one way or the other. Tony Khan and WarnerMedia will have to come up with some sort of solution.
