Cody Rhodes Reacts To His AEW Departure

Cody Rhodes was one of the mainstays of AEW television and an integral part of the company behind the scenes as well. It is not a stretch to say he helped build AEW into what it is right now over the past couple of years. Now he is reacting to his AEW departure.

As reported earlier, it was said that Cody Rhodes was working as free agent as his contract with AEW expired last year. Cody Rhodes himself confirmed his free agency status. He thanked AEW for the past three years in his incredibly well-written statement which you can find below.

AEW took to Twitter and officially announced that Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi are parting ways with the company. Cody Rhodes himself took to Twitter and commented on his AEW departure, where he thanked Tony Khan and his colleagues for all the support over the years. Naturally, tons of fans reacted.

Cody Rhodes could sign with WWE now that he is no longer with AEW We will have to wait and see whether Rhodes will return to WWE or not.
