Keith Lee recently made his much-anticipated debut for Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promotion. Fans had been expecting Lee to show up in AEW ever since the “Limitless” was let go by WWE.

Lee showed up as the surprise challenger to take on Private Party’s Isaiah Kassidy in the first qualifier for the Face of The Revolution Ladder Match this past Wednesday on Dynamite.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Tony Khan praised Lee’s debut and revealed that he had been wanting Lee to join AEW ever since the former NXT Double Champion was gutted by the WWE.

“Keith’s debut was incredible. Much to my amazement, Keith got released. As soon as I saw that he was released, this was the moment I dreamed about,” the AEW president said.

We’ll have to wait to see what AEW has in store for Keith Lee. The 37-year-old was booked tremendously during his time in NXT, but found himself creatively chained as soon as he debuted on the main roster.
