CM Punk made his All Elite Wrestling debut a few months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance. It certainly changed the pro wrestling world as many people took notice of the company. Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history.

CM Punk has become one of the mainstays of AEW television and has feuded against several stars. His most high profile feud so fair in AEW has certainly been with MJF, as it continued for the past few months.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF and CM Punk duked it out in a very highly anticipated match. MJF would win the match in the end after some assistance from Wardlow.

While the match received a lot of praise, many fans also felt that the match went on for too long, lasting around 45 minutes. While speaking on his podcast, Keepin it 100′, Konnan talked about MJF and CM Punk’s match. He criticized the feud for being underwhelming and also stated that AEW Dynamite lost viewership due to the match lasting for too long.

“They had a great match, let me say this, and it was too f***** long. AEW is under the impression that longer is better. Seriously, people get tired, you really need to consider fan fatigue, you know, at home and in the live arena. It’s real. It was a great match, but it was too long. They took too long to give people the match. It was underwhelming, the whole angle was underwhelming to me, and yesterday’s rating might have proved it.”

We will have to wait and see what is next in store for both CM Punk and MJF. It is very likely MJF will gloat about his huge win on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite as well.
