Bron Breakker is an American professional wrestler and former American football player. He is currently signed to the professional wrestling promotion WWE, where he performs on the NXT brand. Breakker, the WWE NXT Champion, has accepted Dolph Ziggler’s challenge and plans to face him following his match against Santos Escobar. Breakker has taken the WWE Universe by storm in recent months and has quickly ascended to the top of NXT.

After his match against Escobar at NXT Vengeance Day, Breakker responded to Dolph Ziggler’s recent challenge by stating that he would be open to facing the RAW superstar. “@HEELZiggler mentioned coming to NXT and taking my title. You want the next shot after Santos come on down. Your move #Iwillsayittoyourface,” tweeted Breakker.

Ziggler last competed in NXT almost a decade ago. It was in a singles match against Rusev. Breakker will defend his NXT Championship for the first time since winning it in January at the NXT Vengeance Day event next week.

Following his elimination from this year’s Royal Rumble, Ziggler responded to Breakker’s tweet about him, warning Breakker that he would come down to NXT and take his title. “A lot of people ask me after matches like this [talking about his match on RAW]. Like, ‘Dolph you good to go?’ Not good, I’m the best. So maybe one of these days those people that run their mouths online will have to deal with me in person. So maybe, Breakker and his title… Maybe I take it away from him. Maybe I stop by,” said Ziggler.

WWE reportedly planned to use the men’s Royal Rumble match to set up a storyline between Breakker and Ziggler. However, the NXT Champion was absent from this year’s Rumble because the company decided not to include any NXT Superstars in the match. Meanwhile, Ziggler entered as the 16th man, but failed to make any eliminations and was subsequently thrown out of the match by Bad Bunny.
