Big E truly had a long and difficult road to the top of WWE. After a solid run on NXT, he was called up to the main roster but was eventually lost in the shuffle. It seems Big E is grateful for his fans.

At the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Big E defended his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar. To the shock of many, Brock Lesnar pinned Big E after hitting an F5 and won the match, thereby becoming the new WWE Champion.

Many fans felt Big E’s first reign as the WWE Champion left much to be desired as fans wanted better for him. Big E even previously admitted he wasn’t happy with his WWE Championship run.

It was also reported that Big E’s run as a singles star was over. Big E took to Twitter and thanked fans for positively shaping his life after fans showed concern for him.
