Peter Avalon hasn’t been seen on Dynamite for just about a year now. It was last year when the Wingmen faction was formed, and although the faction definitely has what can be considered a ‘cult following,’ Avalon hopes and is pushing for a return to AEW’s premiere TV show.

Peter Avalon has been wrestling since 2008 and just as his Wingmen faction established quite the following, as mentioned above, so has he, garnering himself a reputation on the indies, and a good one at that. Runs in Championship Wrestling From Hollywood and TNA make up what is quite the pro wrestling resume for Avalon.

As for the Wingmen, in case you may have forgotten, the team consists of Cezar Bononi, Ryan Nemeth and JD Drake as well. It was while speaking with Denise Salcedo that Avalon went into the current status of the faction, and his hopes of returning to Dynamite in the hopefully not too distant future.

“Of course I want it…And we have pitched things. I think The Wingmen are perfect for Dynamite and Rampage. And of course, I think I am perfect for any kind of television… so of course, I want to be on it, we’ve pitched things of course.

But we’re there, we’re ready, we’re able and capable and ready. I know how it works, I know what the business is and it’s a wild time in the business. Tony (Khan) has got a lot of new toys that he wants to play with and feature on his shelf so yeah I’ll get mine.”

Avalon also went into the importance of having the Dark/Elevation platforms for he and his faction to grow further, as well as being on those shows having other benefits too.

“I think it’s extremely important. I think Tony Khan knows it’s important because that’s where you will get a lot of your matches that will pad your record to go up to TV to look impressive. It adds depth to a lot of the wrestlers and characters.”

Not exactly the Performance Center or NXT, but close, and perhaps altogether different and arguably better. The caliber of matches on Dark are of course high. What’s often missing is further story line development, but that seems to be by design. The general idea on those platforms seems to be: Leave the story lines for TV. Meanwhile stars like Avalon and troop are coasting their way to a possible return to Dynamite and for the entirety of the Wingmen faction and its fans, that’s great news overall.
