Impact star Larry D revealed Tuesday he requested his release from the company. Larry, whose real name is Lawrence Jones, has been with the promotion since December 2019. His signing was quite an emotional in-ring affair with Scott D’Amore offering him the deal.

The 38-year-old took to Twitter to reveal his status with the company. I love @IMPACTWRESTLING with all my heart. I’ve been able to achieve things id never imagine!” he said.

Larry said he’s looking forward to making a name for himself in other promotions. He added that he’ll be open to interviews and podcasts appearances in the coming week.

“With heavy heart I’ve requested my release and am eager to make waves in other markets… I will be accepting podcast, interviews and other media in the coming weeks… much ❤ all! Lets work!!”

Larry is best known for his tag team XXXL alongside former Impact star Acey Romero, who parted ways with the promotion in October 2021. Impact Wrestling have yet to comment on the release request.

Larry’s last televised appearance for the company took place at Impact Wrestling Throwback Throwdown II – IPWF Winter War ’84 in December when he took on Jake Something in a bullrope match.
