Sami Zayn Pitched To Have Huge WrestleMania 38 Match With Jeff Hardy

There is no doubt that Sami Zayn has gone through numerous changes during his time in WWE. From being a believed underdog character in NXT to his current conspiracy theorist gimmick on the main roster, Zayn always continues to stay relevant no matter what.

Jeff Hardy was fired by WWE last year, in move that truly shocked fans all over the world. Hardy’s release also put a wrench in several plans, especially with Drew McIntyre.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sami Zayn had pitched the idea to have a ladder match against Jeff Hardy at WrestleMania before Hardy’s release.

He also noted pitching an idea to work a program with Jeff Hardy, but then Hardy was fired. “I had spoken with creative about a storyline with Jeff Hardy. Jeff was one of my heroes when I was a teenager. He was one of my biggest inspirations when I started. My idea was to have a ladder match against him at WrestleMania. I had a big storyline planned in my head, but unfortunately, two weeks after speaking with creative about it, he was fired.

Sami Zayn is currently feuding with Johnny Knoxville on Friday Night Smackdown while Jeff Hardy’s pro wrestling future is not known just yet. WWE also really doesn’t want Hardy to join AEW. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Jeff Hardy’s pro wrestling career.
