Jade Cargill has been booked as an unstoppable force in AEW as she has run roughshod over the women’s division. Her dominant run in the company has led to her becoming one of the mainstays of the AEW women’s division as well. It seems Tony Khan is quite happy with Jade Cargill right now.

Cargill became the first-ever AEW TBS Champion as she defeated fan-favorite Ruby Soho in the finals of the TBS Women’s Eliminator Tournament. Many fans were disappointed at this as they wanted to see Soho become the inaugural champion.

Many also criticized her in-ring skills as fans felt she is still far too green to even compete, let alone be a champion. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Tony Khan gave huge props to Jade Cargill for her improvement inside the squared circle. He also mentioned how she delivered in her match against Anna Jay on AEW Rampage.

“To see how far Jade has come so quickly, it’s so impressive, but it’s not surprising to me at all. When Jade signed here, I could see the athletic potential. Absolutely, Jade looks like a big star, and not only does she look like a huge star, but also has the most athletic ability, somebody who played college sports and has that athletic mentality that you can count on.

“Also, somebody who is very aware of the clock in her position, knows where the time of the shows at. As a basketball player, she knows how to watch the clock. For me as a coach, I really appreciate that. You can count on Jade, she’s proven it time and time again. And she absolutely delivered in that main event spot.”

Jade Cargill was also compared to the likes of Goldberg and Chyna in recent weeks. We will have to wait and see how Cargill will be booked as the champion in the coming weeks as Tony Khan is certainly high on Cargill.
