AEW has been the talk of the town ever since it arrived on the scene in 2019. Tony Khan’s wrestling promotion has stacked a huge roster despite existing for three years. Now some deals are expiring.

Word around the corner is that AEW Tony Khan will let contracts of several performers run out instead of working on a new deal. That is how contracts in the company will work going forward.

Joey Janela and several others have their contracts coming up in several months. According to PW Insider, Peter Avalon’s contract with the promotion recently expired.

“Pretty Peter Avalon’s AEW deal recently expired, PWInsider.com can confirm. He was among several deals expected to expire over the next several months. Avalon may still work for the promotion on a per appearance basis but that is not confirmed. He recently announced he was going to begin taking independent bookings.”

Earlier in the day, Lio Rush announced he’d be free agent from February 14th onwards. Rush joins a handful of stars who are expected to depart from the company following their expiration of their contracts.
