Kofi Kingston is certainly a proper veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in WWE for over decade. He has competed in several memorable matches and won various championships. It seems Kingson teased a huge dream match for The New Day.

Apart from his singles run, which saw him win the WWE Championship, among other titles, he is still a member of The New Day. The group remains one of the most popular tag teams in the history of pro wrestling.

When the New Day made their debut as a group, they were initially heels but were eventually turned into babyfaces due to their rise in popularity. While speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Kofi Kingston hinted at a dream match between The New Day and The Elite, comprising of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.

“We talk about working with the Elite all the time. Having a six-man tag team match with the Elite? That would be terrific. We sorta tested it a little bit when we played them in Street Fighter at an E3 convention. That was not supposed to happen, like we thought that at some point it was gonna get pulled!

We will have to wait and see whether The New Day and The Elite ever square off against each other inside the squared circle. With WWE having no intention of working with AEW, the dream match won’t happen anytime soon.
