Kofi Kingston is certainly a proper veteran in the pro wrestling world, having worked in WWE for over a decade. He has competed in several memorable matches and won various championships. It seems The New Day really want to be heels.

Apart from his singles run, which saw him win the WWE Championship, among other titles, he is still a member of The New Day. The group remains one of the most popular tag teams in the history of pro wrestling.

When the New Day made their debut as a group, they were initially heels but were eventually turned into babyfaces due to their rise in popularity. Many fans have been wondering if they will ever turn heel again.

While speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Xavier Woods talked about turning heel as part of The New Day. He revealed that he would love for the group to turn heel. Big E also joined in and said he’d love to as well, but it might not happen anytime soon.

Xavier Woods: “Yeah! One hundred percent – I’m a horrible person!

“It’s just super fun to scream at little kids, ’cause when we were heels before, our stuff would see kids getting legitimately mad and upset at us. It’s just so much fun to be snarky, to be rude and disliked.

“It’s great being cheered, and people pulling for us and being the good guys – both sides are really fun to play, but I wouldn’t be mad at it at all. We love that, we talk about it all the time!’

Big E: Honestly, we have (wanted that) the entire time – we’ve always wanted to turn heel. It’s just so much fun.

What I’m doing in the ring dovetails so well into all the things I wanna do outside of the ring, as far as just charitable work, just telling my story with my issues with depression and mental health. I just don’t think it makes a lot of sense right now.

The beautiful thing is our turns kind of happened organically, in the sense that we tried to be babyfaces right out of the gate, people were not having that so we became heels, and then we just got cheered for so long, so eventually we had to turn.

My feeling is, if we do turn, it feels organic and it feels natural again. Unfortunately, we’re in a position right now where our reactions are pretty damn good. So, I don’t see that happening any time soon, but who knows?”

While a heel turn would certainly be an interesting move at this point in their careers, it is highly unlikely The New Day will ever turn heel again and fans will simply have to accept that fact.
