WWE Sent Mustafa Ali Home Weeks Ago

Mustafa Ali surprised fans when he requested his release from WWE. This was the end of long stretch at home, one he did not request. In the meantime, he has thrown his hat in the running to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He hasn’t been back to WWE television for a reason.

Ali and his wife recently celebrated the birth of another child. He did want some time off to be with his wife, but WWE gave him a lot more time off than he requested. In fact, they just told him to go home.

Sean Sapp reports that Ali only requested one show off, but WWE sent him home. Obviously, they have not called him back yet. This led to today’s announcement that he requested his release.

I’ll go ahead and say this much publicly — Mustafa Ali hasn’t been on paternity leave. He asked for one show off for that.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE has a limited open door when it comes to taking release requests. We were told that WWE is willing to let anyone go who wants out, unless someone asks to be released that Vince McMahon doesn’t want to lose. We will have to see how long it takes WWE to approve Mustafa Ali’s release request.
