Xavier Woods dreamed for decades to become King of the Ring. That goal finally became a reality, but now His Majesty is injured.

While appearing on G4’s Attack Of The Show, Xavier Woods revealed that he is injured. His injury is to the plantaris muscle of his calf and it took place while hitting a DDT outside the ring during a match.

His recovery time should be about 6 to 8 weeks. It is good that the King of the Ring won’t be out of action for very long, but he will miss the 2022 Royal Rumble premium live event.

According to PW Insider, “Woods did all hosting duties for the Around the Net segment of the show on his throne while on camera.”

We will have to see if WWE uses Xavier Woods in the meantime, because he could always fill in an on-screen role as a non-wrestling King of the Ring.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
