MLW preparing to head to court with WWE after launching a class-action lawsuit on Tuesday. “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela is one wrestler they know will not be supporting them. Following the announcement that MLW was pursuing a federal anti-trust action against WWE, the AEW and GCW star, who worked with the organization in 2018, took a jab at MLW and owner Court Bauer on Twitter.

MLW claims WWE of cancelling a streaming arrangement between MLW and Tubi TV in 2021, according to the lawsuit. In the same year, a WWE executive allegedly asked Vice TV to stop airing MLW programs. At this time, no trial date has been established for the lawsuit. Janela expressed his desire that WWE (who he dubbed as “the titan”) will defeat them in court.

This dude has ‘No GCW’ written into his new contracts because I called him out for taking advantage of young talent. I hope the titan puts em out. I know it’s the cool thing to support the underdog taking on the big dog, but this ain’t it…

Joey Janela later quoted Giancarlo Dittamo on Twitter, who questioned how MLW could afford to bankroll a lawsuit while underpaying its performers. Janela just replied with the “shh” emoji.

Joey Janela has been a vocal critic of MLW since his departure in 2018, notably in regards to the organization’s wage structure. Janela alleged on Twitter in 2020 that the majority of the MLW undercard earned less than $3,000 per year, while the top stars earned only $10,000. Joey Janela’s tweets can be found below.
