AEW is set to put on Battle of the Belts on Saturday night, their first-ever special on TNT. Cody Rhodes was set to defend the TNT Title, but that won’t happen now.

During AEW Rampage this week, it was revealed that the American Nightmare won’t be able to defend his title against Sammy Guevara at Battle of the Belts. Cody was pulled due to COVID protocols. The TNT Title will still be on the line.

Dustin Rhodes will defend the title in Cody’s place. Sammy Guevara made it clear that he “doesn’t give a sh*t,” because he’s still winning the title.

This is a very interesting decision for AEW, but they still need to defend the belt, since that is the whole theme of the event. You can check out the updated card below.

They also added Ricky Starks vs Matt Sydal for the FTW Title to the show. This is a surprise, because that title is rarely defended.
