Scotty 2 Hotty Claims He Saw Writing On The Wall Before Recent WWE Releases

Scotty 2 Hotty was one of the mainstays of WWE’s Attitude Era and also during the Ruthless Aggression Era. After getting released by the company in 2007, he returned as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in 2016. However, he would request his release from the company couple of months ago.

WWE also decided to kick off the new year in the worst way possible as they released the likes of William Regal, Road Dogg, Timothy Thatcher, Danny Burch, Allison Danger, and Ace Steel along with writer Ryan Katz.

While speaking to Fightful, former WWE Superstar Scotty 2 Hotty shared his thoughts on WWE’s latest slew of releases. Hotty made it clear he wasn’t surprised and saw the writing on the wall.

Scotty 2 Hotty briefly spoke to Fightful after hearing the news and said that he wasn’t surprised and saw the writing on the wall, which is why he got out of the company last year.

WWE’s mass releases also took their toll on Scotty 2 Hotty. Scotty 2 Hotty recently squared off against Joey Janela at Game Changer Wrestling’s ‘Die For This’ show. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for the former WWE talent.
