AEW often gets attention from fans after a new signing, because the locker room is getting quite full. It seems that Tony Khan just can’t help himself when it comes to inking a deal with a talented performer. If you ask Eddie Kingston, TK might not break out the checkbook enough.

During a recent conversation with Yahoo! Sports, Eddie Kingston opened up about the popular fan sentiment that Tony Khan signs too many people to contracts. This was met with a scoff as he suggested that Tony Khan should sign everyone he can.

“Sign everybody. This is my thinking. If you bring in all of these guys, it makes me step up my game. If I step up my game, it leads to a better product. A better product means more people will watch and more people will talk about AEW. That’s what we all should do. Some people don’t think that way and it’s on them, but they’ll be left behind. It’s nobody’s fault but their own. At the end of the day, if I’m pushing myself and everybody is pushing themselves, it’s good TV and AEW gets bigger.”

“I always want AEW to do better, to grow. This is the best job I’ve had. I’ve been doing pro wrestling for 20 years. I spent all of my 20s and 30s in this great sport and I’m not trying to have this place be ruined by anybody. I’ll let it be known or not talk to you.”

Tony Khan signed lot of wrestlers over 2021 and 2022 is just getting started. The company just announced that a deal was signed with former NXT Superstar Jake Atlas as well. Eddie Kingston seems to be of the opinion that the more is the merrier.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
