Drew McIntyre’s stock in WWE rose to great heights over the past couple of years. It even led to him winning the WWE Championship on two different occasions. He is truly a locker room leader and has shown his capabilities. Sadly, a neck injury might detail big 2022 plans for WWE’s workhorse.

Drew McIntyre has faced off against the best of the best the pro wrestling world has to offer. This also includes WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The two squared off against each other at Survivor Series and it took Reigns a lot of outside interference and several finishers to put McIntyre down for the win. McIntyre previously made it clear he isn’t done with The Tribal Chief just yet.

Drew McIntyre was written off WWE television after getting brutally assaulted at hands of Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view. As reported earlier, Drew McIntyre is out of action with neck injury.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE still had big plans for Drew McIntyre prior to him getting injured. The company also plans on having a Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre feud somewhere down the line.

“I don’t think anyone believed for a second he (Madcap Moss) was going to beat Drew McIntyre. It’s funny because with Drew McIntyre being hurt, you know, they could have done it, but they didn’t even dare do it. I wouldn’t have either because, at the end of the day, the plan is still supposed to be Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns at some point. So he shouldn’t be losing to Madcap Moss even if he is going to be hurt. Hopefully, the injury is not too bad.”

Drew McIntyre also wrestled like workhorse through his neck injury. We will have to wait and see when The Scottish Warrior will make his return to WWE television.
