Mercedes Martinez Makes AEW Dynamite Debut During New Year’s Smash

WWE released several people over the last year and a few of them have ended up in AEW. Tony Khan’s company had one more Dynamite debut in store for fans during New Year’s Smash.

Jade Cargill defeated Thunder Rosa this week in the semi-finals of the TBS Championship Tournament. During the closing moments of the match, Rosa took a shot from a hooded woman at ringside.

After the match, the hooded figure jumped in the ring and carried on with a beatdown on Thunder Rosa. Then the hooded woman revealed herself as Mercedes Martinez.

Ruby Soho then ran out for the save and chased Mercedes Martinez off. They also really put over Mercedes on commentary as one of the best women wrestlers in the world today. We will have to see how Tony Khan uses her, but it appears that Mercedes Martinez is AEW.
