Fans Outraged After Cody Rhodes Wins TNT Title On AEW Rampage

Cody Rhodes is one of the top stars in the company and has been one of the mainstays of AEW television since day one. He is also the EVP of the company and ensures the product is as good as it can be. It seems Rhodes caused controversy yet again.

For the past few months, Cody Rhodes has been on the receiving end of a lot of boos from fans. Due to this, many have expressed their desire to have Cody Rhodes turn heel.

This included instances where fans said the r-word to Cody Rhodes on numerous occasions during a show. That wasn’t all as a fan even threw back the weight belt Cody Rhodes threw to the crowd.

During the Christmas edition of AEW Rampage this week, Cody Rhodes challenged Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship. In a terrific back and forth match, Cody Rhodes pulled off the win as he defeated Sammy Guevara to become the TNT Champion for the third time.

Unsurprisingly, the Internet Wrestling Community was irate over the fact that Cody Rhodes won the title and Sammy Guevara’s reign was brought to an end so quickly.

We will have to wait and see if AEW will finally pull the trigger and make Cody Rhodes a heel once and for all, now that he is the TNT Champion.
