Paul Heyman is one of the most well-known and established names in the pro wrestling world. He is touted as one of the greatest minds to have ever been seen in the business. It seems Jim Cornette is a huge fan of Paul Heyman as well.
Heyman is certainly one of the best talkers on the microphone and has helped elevate many Superstars he has worked with over the years and that includes Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and others.
While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, Jim Cornette was asked who Tony Khan would trade from his roster and get someone from WWE. Cornette said that if he was Tony Khan, he would trade anyone on the AEW roster for Paul Heyman. His point was that AEW has a loaded roster, but they don’t have someone skilled like Heyman to put them over.
”If I was Tony Khan, I would give Vince McMahon anybody for Paul Heyman. I wouldn’t give away CM Punk and Bryan Danielson right now. I would say ‘Vince you can have anybody you want except Punk and Danielson – gimme f*cking Heyman. Because what he’s got, not only do I not have and can’t get anywhere else – nobody else has got it. The want thing Tony Khan needs more than any AEW wrestler is Heyman’s brain.”
Paul Heyman was also fired by Roman Reigns as his Special Counsel on last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. We certainly wonder if Paul Heyman will ever make his way to AEW one day.
