Pro wrestling legend Sting shocked the world when he made his debut in AEW last year in December. Since then he has been featured heavily on AEW television being paired up with Darby Allin. It seems Ric Flair appreciated CM Punk’s homage to Sting as well.

Sting made a name for himself in WCW, especially in his Crow persona. However, before that, Sting had his surfer look which saw him donning bleach blonde hair and a highly energetic persona.

As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash, CM Punk paid homage to Sting’s Surfer persona with his face paint during the main event of the show.

It not only impressed fans but Ric Flair as well, who took to Twitter and gave CM Punk massive props for the homage and also said that he was awesome.
