WWE is well aware that the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over. As new variants are discovered, the transmission of the virus is still a big problem. A few WWE Superstars have already tested positive for the virus and some locations are also restricting access for non-vaccinated people. The fear that large gatherings will become restricted once again is a real one. This could result in another change of plans for WWE and the company is prepared for anything.

A report came out eariler today saying that WWE is likely readying themselves for retreat back into the ThunderDome. No mandate against large-scale gatherings has been handed down, but it is always a possibility.

A well-placed source within the company confirmed to us that, “there are a lot of contingency plans that are being discussed.” At this juncture, WWE is prepared for “all scenarios playing out.”

WWE will continue the touring plans that they have in place until they are simply not permitted to carry on. We can only hope that WWE doesn’t have to derail any touring after getting back on the road over the Summer, but rising COVID-19 numbers are also a great concern. This is something the company is monitoring at all times as well.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
