Seth Rollins’ time in promotions such as Ring Of Honor certainly helped him hone his craft before making his way to WWE. Rollins’ current obnoxious heel character never fails to annoy fans. On top of that, Rollins really doesn’t do scripted promos as such, just like Roman Reigns.
The Messiah of Drip made his way to Monday Night RAW in October and has been a thorn on everyone’s side since then. The Messiah is also quite outspoken as he lets everyone know what he thinks.
While speaking with Z100’s Josh Martinez, Seth Rollins talked about his current gimmick in WWE. He hilariously compared his gimmick to popular DC character The Joker.
“God, it’s as if — it’s as if this crazy — if The Joker were a narcissist going through a midlife crisis. I guess that’s the best way to really put it. I don’t really know any other way to do it. But yeah, it’s a lot. It’s a lot happening but the cool thing about the character is it can kind of go any which way. There’s a lot of unpredictability with it and I think that’s fun, you know?”
You can have matches like a Hell In A Cell match with Edge, but you can also have television segments where I just laugh with my best friend Bayley for five minutes. So, you know, I just think that there’s not a lot of characters on our television program that can do all these different things and so, that’s kind of just my approach to where I’m at right now.”
Seth Rollins will square off against Big E and Kevin Owens for the WWE Championship at Day 1 on January 1st next year. It remains to be seen whether he will end up winning the match or not.
