Cody Rhodes is one of the top stars in the company and has been one of the mainstays of AEW television since day one. He is also the EVP of the company and ensures the product is as good as it can be. It seems Disco Inferno criticized Cody Rhodes recently.

For the past few months, Cody Rhodes has been on the receiving end of a lot of boos from fans. Due to this, many have expressed their desire to have Cody Rhodes turn heel.

This included instances where fans said the r-word to Cody Rhodes on numerous occasions during a show. That wasn’t all as a fan even threw back the weight belt Cody Rhodes threw to the crowd.

While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno criticized Cody Rhodes for forcing himself on fans as a babyface. He stated that it is simply off-putting for fans.

“Konnan and I believe that he does come across kind of on TV as off-putting. And the fact he is essentially trying to force himself as a babyface on everybody’s throat is genuinely off-putting to the fans.

“I think we would all agree that Cody maybe takes himself too seriously, but he really should be a heel right now,”

Cody Rhodes is set to square off against Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship on the Christmas night edition of AEW Rampage. We will have to wait and see who will end up winning the match.
