Austin Gunn has confirmed that he will not be taking time away from AEW due to his upcoming reality series. Gunn will star in “Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules,” a new reality series for the E! network. Dave Meltzer originally reported that he would be gone from the company because of the show.

Gunn responded to Ringside News’ coverage of the story via Twitter. He says the show will not, in fact, interfere with his work for AEW. The initial report by Meltzer is not true. Austin clarified the situation with a simple statement.

“I’m not taking time off”

Austin Gunn signed with AEW in January of 2020 after a brief stint with Ring of Honor. He currently wrestles in a stable with his brother, Colten, and his father, Billy Gunn. Austin served as a third when the Gunn Club team of Billy and Colton recently took on Sting and Darby Allin.

The reality show will follow a group of eight children of celebrities working together on a ranch. Other stars include Pat Benatar’s daughter, David Hasslehoff’s son, Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Shaquille O’Neal’s son, and more. The show is set to debut in January on E!

The erroneous report originally came from this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which stated that Gunn would be “gone.” Austin himself has now confirmed that he will not be taking time off. AEW fans will get to see a fully in-tact Gunn Club moving forward.
