WWE’s NXT brand might lose some important members of their roster soon enough, but Tommaso Ciampa isn’t going away so fast.
It was previously reported that Kyle O’Reilly’s NXT contract is running up very soon. This was reportedly a surprise for him to discover. O’Reilly did not ink a new contract in 2019 as many others did. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa are in the same boat.
It was further reported by Fightful Select that while Ciampa is in the same situation, he will be around a bit longer. Due to his injury history, the company extended his deal so he will be around for a bit longer.
We’re actually told Tommaso Ciampa is in that boat of having his deal extended due to injury time.
We’ll have to see what happens in this situation. Everyone leaves WWE eventually except for in very rare circumstance. Tommaso Ciampa still has a lot to offer the developmental roster and he is still NXT Champion. Only time will tell if this run with Goldy will be his swan song.
