Cody Rhodes is the EVP of AEW and has remained a babyface in the company since the very beginning. Rhodes is one of the top stars in the company, as he has competed in several memorable matches and praise-worthy segments over the years. Despite all this, Rhodes continues to get polarizing reactions no matter what he does.

For the past few months, Cody Rhodes has been on the receiving end of a lot of boos from fans. Due to this, many have expressed their desire to have Cody Rhodes turn heel.

As reported earlier, fans in attendance during the main event of last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite said the r-word to Cody Rhodes on numerous occasions. That wasn’t all as a fan even threw back the weight belt Cody Rhodes threw to the crowd.

While speaking on The Experience podcast, Jim Cornette talked about AEW fans constantly booing Cody Rhodes. Cornette stated that the fans were offended by Rhodes on last week’s show and that Rhodes should finally start becoming a heel.

“As soon as Cody did anything, they just came unglued. They were offended by his presence. it is not merely just booing a heel now. It is simply like we do not want to see you do anything, and he needs to go ahead and be a heel because this is not going to get anywhere with him trying not to be a heel. I believe he has to be suddenly trying to be a heel now.”

Cody Rhodes was also slammed for thinking he can get fans to like him. Brandi Rhodes also reacted to the fans throwing his belt back to him. We will have to wait and see if he will finally turn heel or not.
