Toni Storm has always been quite forthcoming about her struggles with mental health issues. In 2019, she opened up about being diagnosed with anxiety at the age of 16, and how it affected her. Now she wants others to do the same.

Storm recently spoke to WWE Deutschland, and in the interview, she encouraged people with mental health struggles to talk to someone about it. Storm also highlighted the need for a support system, thanking her friends who were there to support her.

Normalize speaking out and talking to people and getting through your stuff because life ain’t easy. I’m sure you all know that.

Storm also talked about how someone in a position like hers can help further the cause, stating that despite being a “big ol WWE superstar,” she is still human after all.

t can be rough out there. Not everyone is having a good time at all times, even WWE superstars. Yeah, I’m this “big ol WWE superstar.” At the same time, I’m a real person and it’s okay to be human and talk to people and be yourself and normalize that.

Recently, more and more wrestlers have come forth to discuss their own struggles with mental health issues. Superstar Big E recently opened up about his struggles, and how meditation has helped him.

This is definitely a positive direction for the world of pro wrestling, which has had a history of valuing toughness over vulnerability. It certainly is heartwarming to see Superstars taking these steps.
