W. Morrissey, the former Big Cass from WWE, made an impression in Impact Wrestling and the company appeared to have bigger things in store for him. Now his time with Impact Wrestling is over for now.

According to a report from Fightful Select, W. Morrissey’s contract expired at the end of October and he is no longer with the company in an official sense. He hoped to have a new deal, but that didn’t happen and he is now officially a free agent.

Morrissey, the former Big Cass, noted during a recent interview that his deal with IMPACT Wrestling was up at the end of October and he was hoping to remain there. However, as of Friday, those that we spoke to had stated that they didn’t see him at this set of tapings, which is set to carry IMPACT through the end of the year.

Morrissey was reportedly looking for “a big money deal” after he proved himself on screen. That “big money deal” was noted as being a big money deal by “Impact standards.” No monetary amount was actually reported.

It was also reported that, “there are plans in order in case a deal is reached, but as of Saturday we’ve not heard if he’ll be there, but was booked to face Matt Cardona at Turning Point.”

We will have to see what the plans are for the future. He could always make a return to the company. Right now it looks like he is on his own.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
