WWE changed a lot of things up when NXT 2.0 came around. That apparently meant there is no more room for a 1,000 year old lady.

Mei Ying was dominate during Triple H’s incarnation of NXT. Then she lost a match in NXT 2.0 to Indi Hartwell, but she sat right up like the Undertaker right afterward. It appears she is done with that character.

PW Insider reports that NXT has “quietly dropped” the Mei Ying character. The 1,000 year old woman didn’t get much of a shot in NXT 2.0. Now Karen Wu, who was working as Mei Ying will now be “Wendy Choo.”

WWE NXT 2.0 has quietly dropped the mysterious Mei Ying character that was associated with Xia Li and Boa prior to Li moving up to the main WWE roster,

Wu worked as Karen Q for in the WWE Mae Young Classic, Ring of Honor and other promotions. She suffered a pretty bad leg injury that caused her to take time out of the ring. Then she returned as Mei Ying, a character that was over in NXT for a while, but that time is over for her now.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
