Conrad Thompson Teases New Promotion With Jeff Jarrett

Jeff Jarrett may have another mark in his never-ending quest to start succesful wrestling promotion. Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling didn’t exactly set the world on fire, and crashing and burning after any remaining fan confidence was lost when Double J started up a gold investment scheme.

On a recent appearance on The Wrestling Inc. Daily, Jarrett said that there is a ton of opportunity for a new promotion. There’s a lot of talent out there, especially with the recent WWE releases. He said it’s an opportunity for him.

“I think there’s much more of an opportunity, an exponential more of an opportunity… So the ability to create good high-quality compelling content has never been more readily available. Then pair that with all the talent around the world that is working consistently, then yes, the opportunity is there for me and a lot of others.”

Conrad Thompson, who co-host’s a podcast with Jeff Jarrett, took to Twitter to respond to a fan who asked if there was any interest. He posted a “My interest is piqued,” meme from Curb Your Enthusiasm. He then said he was joking. But maybe not joking.

“It was a joke tweet! Or was it? @RealJeffJarrett Seriously I’m sticking to mortgages!”

Conrad’s ambiguous behavior goes right along with Jarrett’s long-standing carnival schtick. It doesn’t sound like he was serious about starting up a promotion. Would anybody really be surprised, though?
