AEW Full Gear went down on November 13th and the card was stacked full of matches that will go on to shape the AEW landscape. The finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament certainly had a lot riding on Bryan Danielson and Miro’s match.

The finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator was supposed to be Bryan Danielson vs Jon Moxley. After Moxley checked himself into rehab, Tony Khan had to make a change and that came when Miro was placed in Mox’s spot. In the end, Miro defeated Orange Cassidy in Moxley’s place and claimed a match against Bryan Danielson at Full Gear.

This match of two former WWE Superstars was not the kind of contest that they would have been allowed to present in Vince McMahon’s company. Aubrey Edwards officiated a contest full of brutal spots and near falls.

After a grueling contest, Miro went for the Game Over but Bryan Danielson rolled through it and ended up latching on a Lebell Lock. Miro got out of that hold and continued his assault before Bryan Danielson locked on a triangle hold. Miro gouged Danielson’s eyes to get out of that hold.

Danielson landed several shots, but Miro no-sold them while inviting him to land more kicks. Then Miro landed a kick of his own that dropped Danielson. Finally, Danielson landed a DDT off the top rope and latched on a choke to win the match.

Now Bryan Danielson is the #1 contender for the AEW World Title. No future date has been set at this time for when that title match will go down.
