RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has opened up about her real-life heat with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Lynch is set to face Flair in a champion vs. champion match at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV on Nov. 21. That match might be difficult, because there is real heat between them.

Lynch was a guest on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast where she talked about her real-life animosity with fellow NXT alumnus as well as her plans for the upcoming bout against Flair.

When asked to provide details about what transpired backstage following the controversial title exchange segment on the October 22nd episode of SmackDown, the 34-year-old- said: “All I’ll say is… the locker room needs a hero sometimes, and sometimes somebody’s got to be a hero. And I’m alright being that hero.”

Lynch, while admitting to having real-life issues with Flair, said that working a match/segment with someone who’s difficult to get along with behind the scenes can lead to unforeseen circumstance.

“100% more difficult. When you’ve got two people who are wanting to work together to make magic, then you make magic. When there is hostility, then you don’t know what’s going to happen.”

The 35th annual Survivor Series will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to the Lynch vs Flair match, WWE have added Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Champion Big E to the champion vs. champion card.
